Elementa is a brand operated by Suzhou Yaocheng Culture Communication Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit elementajewelry.com (the "Site") or place an order with us.

By using the Site you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, shipping address, phone number.
- Order details: items purchased, order value, delivery preferences.
- Birth details you choose to submit for a reading: date, time and (optionally) place of birth, and the answer you provide in our Energy Test. You are never required to submit these, and you may place an order without doing so.
- Communications: messages you send to our support email, reviews and survey responses.

Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL and time on page.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure site performance.

Payment information
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (currently PayPal and other licensed payment processors). We do NOT receive or store your full card number, CVV or bank credentials. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the billing name and email associated with it.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To process, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to send order confirmations, shipping notices and tracking links.
- To provide the services you order, including human-written BaZi readings, which we deliver by email.
- To respond to your questions, handle returns, refunds and disputes.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised transactions, and to comply with tax, accounting, export and customs obligations.
- To send you marketing emails where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email).

3. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only as much as they need:
- Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform (store hosting, orders, customer records).
- Payment processors, such as PayPal — to take payment and handle disputes.
- Shipping carriers and freight forwarders (for example Yun Express, Yanwen, 4PX, China Post and their overseas delivery partners) — to deliver your parcel.
- Email, analytics and marketing tools — to send transactional/marketing email and understand site traffic.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store (for example, remembering your cart), to remember your preferences, and to measure and improve the Site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly if you do.

5. DATA RETENTION
We keep order and tax records for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax law. Reading submissions are kept for up to 24 months so we can re-issue or discuss your reading, and are then deleted. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We are based in China and use service providers in China, the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, and we only transfer the minimum information necessary to fulfil your order.

7. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

8. SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable processors — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. CHILDREN
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced on this page.
